In 2023, 10 billion rubles were allocated for the development of sports in Bashkortostan. The Minister of Sports of the Republic, Ruslan Khabibov, spoke about this on social networks.
In total, there are 13,300 sports facilities in the cities and regions of Bashkiria – the republic ranks second in the country after Moscow in terms of the number of such facilities. Residents are involved in more than 120 sports; there are 114 accredited sports federations in the republic. More than 100 thousand students are engaged in sports training and additional education in 143 institutions.
