Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova reported that on March 23 and 24, residents of the capital donated more than 2 tons of blood for victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. She clarified that over the weekend more than 7 thousand people came to blood donation centers.

“Despite the fact that there are enough blood supplies in the capital to help the victims, all weekend blood donation points worked until late in the evening until they had completed receiving all the citizens. In just a few days, over 7 thousand people wishing to become donors contacted us. Muscovites helped collect more than 2 tons of blood,” said Anastasia Rakova (quote from TASS).

Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) reportedthat on March 23 alone in Moscow and the Moscow region more than 5 thousand people donated blood. They noted that there are enough supplies of blood and its components – it will be enough for uninterrupted supply for 4-6 months.

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall occurred on March 22. A group of men burst into the concert hall and opened fire. Then a major fire started in the building. According to the latest data, 137 people were killed in the terrorist attack and over 180 were injured. March 23 FSB reported about the detention of 11 suspects, including 4 alleged terrorists. Their arrested until May 22.
