Over half of Russian IT specialists abroad decided to return

More than 50% of IT people who left Russia recently intend to return to their homeland, reports “Gazeta.Ru” with reference to data from a survey conducted by the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC).
At the same time, according to the RAEC data, 49.3% of Russian IT specialists do not plan to return for at least another six months.
These indicators also have some dynamics: compared to May of this year, the proportion of those who are considering the option of returning has increased by 2.3%. According to experts, this is due to the gradual adaptation of the IT business to the new conditions in the Russian Federation and the difficulties in finding employment and arranging the life of Russians in the “country of relocation”.
Thoughts about “relocation” among IT specialists remaining in the Russian Federation also appear somewhat less frequently: if in May 24% of respondents spoke about some plans to move, then in August only 20.9%. At the same time, 70.4% do not think about immediate relocation, that is, within the next month.
