More than 1,000 protesters in Iran have been convicted reported Reuters, citing Iranian judiciary Masood Setayeshi.
Setayeshi did not provide details.
Protests have been going on in Irnan for about two months, which began after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was beaten by morality police for allegedly wearing the hijab incorrectly.
In early October, it was reported that as a result of the confrontation with the authorities, about 60 people were killed and another 100 were injured.
The spiritual leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, said that the protests were planned by the Israeli and US authorities.
On November 6, about 300 Iranian deputies passed a resolution calling the protesters “enemies of God” and calling on the judiciary to pass sentences against them quickly.
The deputies demanded to apply the “eye for an eye” law, which is used in Iran only if it is requested by the victims of crimes themselves or relatives of the victims.
