Over 10 thousand participants from 11 countries registered for the Kazan Marathon

10,242 people registered for the anniversary Kazan Marathon two months before the start. Among them are representatives of 11 countries, reports Tatar-inform news agency.
Most marathon runners are from Moscow and the Moscow region – 2,397 people. Residents of St. Petersburg, Bashkortostan, Sverdlovsk region, and the Volga region are actively applying. Among the foreign ones are representatives of Kazakhstan and Belarus, as well as from the UAE, Australia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Hungary.
1,863 participants were registered from Tatarstan. The most active are from Kazan, Almetyevsk, Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Zelenodolsk. This year, for the first time, there will be a competition for the most “running” district. In the areas that won the competition, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan will build sports grounds.
The tenth anniversary Kazan Marathon will take place on May 11-12. Starting according to tradition from the walls of the Kazan Kremlin, the organizers plan to attract about 30 thousand participants.
The most popular distance (3,230 registrations) is the half marathon, its length is 21.1 km. 3,054 people signed up for the 10 km distance. For the most difficult one, 42.2 km, 2,367 runners have already signed up. Last year there were 1,615 people.
