About a million pairs of shoes were produced by the Moscow factory “Paris Commune” last year. This is 4% more than in 2021. In addition, the enterprise managed to increase the production of special footwear for law enforcement agencies by 1.5 times.

“The light industry of the capital continues to develop and show positive dynamics. Moscow companies produce clothing, accessories and footwear for children and adults,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

He added that last year more than 200 enterprises produced 6.6 times more clothes than a year earlier. For example, a Moscow shoe factory increased production by 4%. The enterprise produced 980 thousand pairs of shoes. The largest increase in production was noted in the assortment of children’s shoes – 144.3 thousand pairs.

It should be noted that the factory, which today is included in the list of backbone enterprises of the country, was founded in 1922.

According to the director general of the factory, Alexander Nikitin, over 660 million pairs of shoes have been produced at the factory’s enterprises over the entire period of operation. And designers and other shoemakers annually design 700 shoe models.

The placement of industrial sites in the capital provides investors with access to a developed infrastructure, large sales markets, and systemic support for the city. For example, light industry enterprises can benefit from more than 20 such measures.
