The Oryol regional team proved its high ability in tug-of-war competitions, becoming the bronze medalist of the All-Russian competition in Moscow. This is the first time that this level of competition is held in Russia.
In the mixed discipline, the team consisted of four boys and four girls. Their total weight should not exceed 560 kg. This discipline turned out to be particularly difficult, and the Oryol team was unable to win a medal, finishing in fourth place. In the fight for bronze they lost to participants from Tver.
However, in another discipline, where only eight young men with a total weight of 640 kg participated in the team, the Oryol athletes managed to compete and won bronze medals. This is a recognition of their strength and skill.
Despite the results, the Oryol region team continues to train hard and prepares for the main competitions of the season – the Russian Championship and Cup, which will be held in November in Yekaterinburg. Oryol athletes are looking forward to these prestigious competitions and hope to demonstrate their skills and adequately represent their region.
