Orel will celebrate Athlete’s Day on August 12

On August 12, Orel will celebrate the All-Russian Day of the Athlete. The main sporting event of the city will be held on the square. Lenin and will begin at 14:00. This was announced by the official information portal of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Oryol region “ProSport57”.
As part of the holiday program will be held demonstration performances of pupils of Oryol sports schools. Young athletes will demonstrate their high skills and achievements in various sports, impressing the audience with their skills.
An important part of the event will be the awarding of insignia of the VFSK GTO – the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex Program “Ready for Labor and Defense”. The best athletes who have achieved high results in sports competitions and successfully passed the TRP tests will be awarded this badge, which is a high award and well-deserved recognition in sports circles.
Also, the festive event will be accompanied by a solemn awarding of diplomas and thanks. Merits and achievements in the field of physical culture and sports of various people will be noted here – from coaches and athletes to organizers and figures of the sports movement.
All residents and guests of the city are invited on August 12 to the square. Lenin, in order to support young athletes, enthusiastically meet the participants and laureates of the VFSK TRP and celebrate the All-Russian Day of the Athlete together.
