Orban: Ukraine cannot win, despite Western weapons

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Radio Kossuth that Ukraine will not be able to defeat Russia, no matter how much money and weapons the West gives it.

He noted that the military advantage will remain with Russia if the West does not enter the war with its army. At the same time, the head of the Hungarian government emphasized, the West cannot get involved in a war that, according to basic mathematical facts, cannot be resolved on the battlefield.

Orban also recalled that NATO “from the first minute” of the Ukrainian crisis stated that it would not send troops to the conflict zone. In this regard, the Hungarian Prime Minister concluded that the conflict will sooner or later be resolved diplomatically.

“Sooner or later someone in the West will have to raise their hands and say: I made a mistake!” Orban said, adding that Western leaders will be forced to admit that Europe is approaching “economic bankruptcy” because of their mistakes.
