Orban named the advantages of living for Transcarpathian Hungarians in the Ukrainian SSR

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the situation with education and the Hungarian language in Transcarpathia under the USSR was better than now under Ukraine. This was reported by the local publication RTL.
According to Orban, education and language were better under the Soviet Union than they are now under the “Ukrainian State.” The country continues to punish Transcarpathians, so Budapest will support them.
The Prime Minister noted that Hungary will not help Ukraine in military operations, since it is difficult to provide any support when the country does not have any internationally recognized military goal. Ukraine has not yet decided what it is fighting for, and its situation looks like “hopeless.”
