Sources said the OPEC+ alliance began formal talks in Vienna after several hours of informal contacts.
During informal contacts, according to a delegate from OPEC +, the possibility of further reductions in oil production was discussed.
Earlier, the OPEC+ countries agreed to reduce oil production by 2 million barrels per day until the end of 2023. In April, Saudi Arabia and a number of other countries decided to voluntarily cut another 1.16 million barrels per day in excess of quotas. In turn, Russia extended the voluntary cut in oil production by 500 million barrels per day until the end of the year.
