After receiving a flurry of invitations from domestic brands, I planned to compile a secular report based only on these (unexpected) marketing activities. However, the situation was saved by two good theatrical events that arose at the edges of the working week.

The founder of Yuliawave, Yulia Vasilevskaya, opened a spacious boutique on the Patriarchs. The path from the foundation of the brand (read – a dress composed for one’s own birthday) to an enterprise with production was completed in eight years. The boutique presented the Iron Hand collection (here fans of Anton Lapenko’s work may recall the Iron Sleeves gang), so not only prominent beauties like Ksenia Solovyova and Svetlana Bondarchuk were involved in the opening ceremony, but also a squad of bikers who staged a show right in the narrow Bolshoi Kozikhinsky lane. In the assortment of leather jackets of the brand, a very daring one was found – with the inscription “Every Generation Needs A New Revolution”. The nearby confectionery Angel`s Cake really shuddered. From the roar of engines.

A day later, an older brand reminded of itself. The Raketa watch factory at the Level2 bar presented a watch released in collaboration with CTB dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the film Brother. This is probably symptomatic, because the most popular movie watch in the Western world is an endlessly lasting collaboration between Bond and Omega. But where they have a man in a tuxedo to the music of John Barry and Monty Norman politely introduces himself: “Bond, James bond”, we have a stretched sweater, music by Vyacheslav Butusov and affectionate: “I’m not your brother, black-assed nit.” Rocket director David Henderson-Stewart, who has been working in Russia since 1997, said that he had watched Brother while already in the process of working with the film company, but three times. “Yes, the Russian people were then very poor, but they were very generous!” – he made an unexpected conclusion from the picture of Alexei Balabanov. By the way, the watch that President Vladimir Putin used to replace the once beloved Blancpain is produced by the IPF brand, which is also part of the Raketa group. So they are doing well.

What exactly was Andrey Artemov’s WOS brand party in the New Space of the Theater of Nations dedicated to, I did not manage to understand. It seems that the main thing: to hug and talk. And it was the best decision possible. At the same time, the independent brand Sorelle, founded just five years ago, opened its own boutique (also on the Patriarch’s). And the beloved child of the Russian Melon Fashion Group, the Love Republic mass market brand, threw a party at Simach. Previously, they did not have such high-profile social activities, but it turned out nice: the models did not defile, but danced to the cover band, which stylistically clearly intended to play at Gucci parties, but now it’s like that.

As for the theater, Yulia Peresild showed the musical performance “Man / Woman” on her birthday. It was an evening in favor of the Galchonok charitable foundation, for which Mrs. Peresild fights like a lion. And certainly not without success: in addition to director Alexei Uchitel, the premiere was attended by Sergei Kapkov, Victoria Manasir, Victoria and Anton Borisevich and Mikhail Kusnirovich. The latter was carefully transferred to the closing theatrical event – the presentation of the Korsh Prize at the Theater of Nations. The award with a statuette in the form of a brick was established only a year ago. Then it was fun and solid: Ivan Urgant led along with Yulia Peresild, Chulpan Khamatova handed a brick to director Alvis Hermanis, who was present via video link, Herman Gref, Konstantin Ernst, Kirill Shamalov and others applauded in the hall. This time, Mr. Kusnirovich literally remained from last year’s cast, as well as artistic director Yevgeny Mironov, who preserved the theater. The ceremony nevertheless turned out to be cordial and optimistic. Robert Lepage (received a prize for the play “Master and Margarita” .— “b”) said via video link from New York that he was looking forward to reuniting with his Russian friends. And this sounds not only like a promise to return, but also like an invitation, doesn’t it?
