One of the buildings of the Russian Technological University was transferred to a remote location due to measles in a student

A freshman from the Moscow RTU MIREA (Russian Technological University – MIREA, formerly the Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation) was diagnosed with measles. Classes in the university building on Stromynka Street were transferred to a remote mode for 20 days. This was reported in the press service of the university.

“The restrictions affected only one of the educational campuses, on Stromynka Street, 20. In order to prevent the spread of infection for 20 days, all classes on this campus will be held remotely,” the press service said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

Also, as RIA Novosti writes with reference to the order of the RTU MIREA rector, all contact students and campus staff on Stromynka Street will have to undergo a medical examination. In addition, those who have been in contact with the sick person and have not been vaccinated against measles will be immunized. It is also forbidden to hold mass events in the building, disinfection control will be strengthened there.

According to information Telegram channel “Caution, Moscow”, classes will be held remotely from tomorrow, April 26. The project notes that in this case, students will have to attend classes in other buildings of the university.

In April, the remote mode due to measles translated students of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after Gubkin. Suspicion of measles in one of the students was also reported at the Moscow Aviation University, but in the end the diagnosisnot confirmed.
