Oncologist Tevs told what kind of radiation can cause cancer

Head of the Department of the Institute of Nuclear Medicine Korney Tevs explained in an interview with “SE”that the ability to cause cancer has radiation that has sufficient energy, and therefore the ability to cause DNA damage. As an example, he cited x-rays and gamma rays, as well as individual natural and medical sources of radiation.

“Some medical procedures can lead to the development of cancer. These include chest X-ray, computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), and radiation therapy.”
