The Crimean Bridge has been completely restored, and traffic is open on all four lanes. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, clarifying that traffic was opened 18 days earlier than planned.
“The whole job took less than three months! During this time, two damaged spans were dismantled and new ones were installed. Moreover, a temporary bridge was erected for the first one, the second one was pulled up in just 8 hours,” Mr. Khusnullin wrote in Telegram channel.
Today, September 14, passenger car traffic was opened on the left side of the Crimean Bridge. It was planned to completely restore the damaged sections of the bridge by November 1.
In July, the Crimean Bridge was attacked by surface UAVs, as a result of which the road surface on the spans from the Crimea was damaged. However, the railway track and bridge supports remained intact.
