On September 1, on Knowledge Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold the first in-person meeting of the Supervisory Board of the All-Russian Social and State Movement of Children and Youth, according to website Kremlin. It will pass in Kaliningrad, where the head of state will visit the museum and theatrical and educational complex and hold an open lesson “Talk about the important.” The participants of the lesson will be the winners of olympiads and competitions in the field of culture, art, science and sports.
On holding a meeting of the supervisory board of the movement on September 1 earlier informed First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko.
Vladimir Putin signed law on the creation of the movement of children and youth on 14 July. The president headed its supervisory board. In structure, it will resemble the pioneer movement. The authors of the project stated that the all-Russian movement would allow “covering the vast majority of schoolchildren, college students and helping millions of children find a goal in life.” At the same time, it was noted that it should not be politicized. However, a Kommersant source in the presidential administration said that children in the movement would be “explained about political topics.”
