The prosecutor’s office sent a criminal case to court against the former Minister of Health of the Sakhalin Region. The ex-official is accused of exceeding official powers, which led to damage in the amount of 61 million rubles.
According to the investigation, the former minister acquired real estate in the form of the former Chaika hotel in the city of Kholmsk and a plot of land with the aim of creating a children’s clinic. However, the acquired property was then dismantled, which led to huge losses for the regional budget.
According to local media reports, we are talking about Alexey Pak, who headed the regional Ministry of Health from 2016 to 2019, and then was dismissed from this post.
