On April 8, the 20th anniversary educational campaign “Total Dictation” will be held in Russia and abroad. Registration for participation in full-time format will begin on March 29.
Nizhny Tagil became the main platform for the action. There, the dictation will be read by its author, writer Vasily Avchenko.
In general, the action this year will be held on six continents. “Total dictation” will be written by residents of 96 cities in 41 countries of the world and Russians from more than 600 settlements in 77 regions of our country.
Among the foreign countries where the Total Dictation will take place are Australia, Austria, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Egypt, India, Spain, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, China, Malta, Moldova, Myanmar, UAE, Portugal, Serbia, USA, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, South Africa and others.
“This year, Cambodia joined us for the first time, and Kazakhstan became the record holder for the number of cities involved abroad, where the action will take place in 10 cities,” said Vyacheslav Belyakov, project manager.
In addition, for the tenth time, “Total Dictation” will be written at Mirny, Progress, Novolazarevskaya and Vostok stations in Antarctica.
The theme of the Total Dictation this year was the life and work of Vladimir Klavdievich Arseniev – a geographer, ethnographer, traveler, writer, author of the books “Across the Ussuri Territory”, “Dersu Uzala”, “Through the Taiga”.
Traditionally, the “Total Dictation” will also be held at the capital’s venues. One of them will be the Ostankino TV Tower, where the text of the dictation will be read by the announcer of the Central Television, People’s Artist of the RSFSR Anna Shatilova. The number of places on the site is limited, so those who wish to write a dictation here should hurry up with registration. She will pass on site project.
