Today, the final games of the pilot season of the league started and registration for the first main season of the project began.
“Moscow School Esports League” (MSKL) in September 2022 organized Moscow Patriot.Sport Center with the support of the Moscow Computer Sports Federation. Test competitions began on September 30, December 1 in the capital “CyberSchool” the playoffs began. Already at the first pilot games of the tournament, it became clear that the children were interested in it, so on December 1, even before the end of the test competitions, it was decided to open online registration for the first main season. It will last until January 20, 2023.
“Esports today is not just a passion for computer games, but a part of the educational process. That is why the Patriot.Sport Moscow Center organized the Moscow School Esports League, in which various competitions will be held for children and useful communications will be built. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, novice cybersportsmen will be able to practice their favorite intellectual sport and learn how to achieve results. At the start of the project, teams from 70 schools and colleges in Moscow took part in its pilot. Now we are inviting other educational organizations that pay attention to the development and support of e-sports to participate,” said Marat Kuchushev, director of the Patriot.Sport Moscow Center.
324 teams from 70 educational organizations of the capital took part in the pilot games of the Moscow School Esports League. In the final, which started on December 1 at CyberSchool and will end on December 23, more than a hundred teams are fighting for victory.
The competitions of the upcoming season of the Moscow School Esports League will be held in three age categories. “Junior division”: 11 – 13 years old (5 – 6th grades), “middle division”: 3 – 16 years old (7 – 9th grades), “senior division”: 17 – 19 years old (10 – 11- e classes). Participants will compete in 18 eSports disciplines. Among them are seven computer, six mobile, three console and two browser games. The league also features chess: young fans of this sport will be able to show their skills in virtual chess tournaments.
Registration for the first season of the Moscow School Esports League will last until January 20, 2023. To take part, you need to choose disciplines, form a team and apply for site Moscow Center “Patriot.Sport”.
The Moscow center “Patriot.Sport” is the organizer of e-sports competitions in the system of the capital’s education. In the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic years, Moscow hosted several large-scale competitions: the Big City Tournament, the Victory Tournament, and the First Moscow School Games. More than 50 thousand schoolchildren and college students of the capital took part in them.
