In the top ten countries most actively expressing support for the Russian Federation in the face of geopolitical disagreements, there are three leading and in a much more dangerous top 10 – in terms of AIDS incidence. All of them occupied the “HIV pedestal” from the very moment of the discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus, from time to time briefly letting one of the neighbors on the continent go ahead. But the three most friendly powers to us, as it turned out by chance after 4 decades of the existence of a formidable disease, have a very good reason not to leave this mournful hit parade – they consider AIDS a boon! We learned the details from experts and natives.

We are talking about Uganda, Zimbabwe and India, with which the Russian Federation is strengthening business and cultural ties day by day. Of course, these countries are aware that, with regrettable stability, they are among the ten “strongest” in terms of acquired immunodeficiency: at least once a year (on World AIDS Day), their parliaments call on governments to strengthen measures to combat the spread of HIV infection, and governments call on their citizens. However, WHO (morbidity) is still there (where it was 10 and 20 years ago). At the same time, representatives of national AIDS programs, and there is one in each of these countries, regularly complain that HIV-infected citizens do not take medicines that they are supplied with for free. And this is not a group of irresponsible, but about 8-10% of the total population.

“The whole trouble is in their beliefs,” shares a Russian traveler-linguist, and a doctor by her basic education, who has been wandering around Africa and Asia for several years, collecting the so-called “speed folklore” – tales that are popular among the people about the disease that prevent her from treating it. – Mostly dark people refuse medicines, and by and large there are two possible explanations. Some believe that HIV is a test, a purgatory that must be passed with dignity, without resorting to outside help. And if you didn’t pass, then the gods are calling you to heaven, but they don’t argue with the gods. And the second is that AIDS is sent to humanity for the good.

– That same old song about the fact that the virus will clean the Earth from drug addicts, perverts, prostitutes and so on?

– But no. In Africa, for example, many tribes are sure that a person with HIV cannot get sick with anything else.

– That’s right, without medicine, he will die from the first cold.

– I will not encroach on the patrimony of official medicine, but I have seen with my own eyes Africans diagnosed with HIV who do not take medications, and we still need to look for a healthier one. True, all of them are not residents of megacities, but from tribes nomadic in the savannahs.

– I can imagine how covid was superimposed on this obscurantism!

– But covid, unlike AIDS, the natives are very afraid. They say that he was sent by Great Gvembesh to wipe out the most intelligent, brave, dexterous and beautiful people from the face of the earth. Depending on the citizenship of the speaker, these are Ugandans or Zimbabweans, or they call a specific tribe.

– And who is Big Gvembesh?

“Probably some evil deity. Although in Swahili “gvembesh” is a spy. Maybe they are hinting at the Americans – I don’t know. But even citizens in loincloths came out to get vaccinated against covid from the bushes (African undersized forests – author), some, judging by their behavior, saw civilization for the first time. Such is the power of popular self-hypnosis. Only natives with HIV did not go for vaccination, they believe that they do not need it.

– Well, in some way. If they refuse medicine, nothing will help them.

– And they believe that HIV protects them from all other earthly diseases. One native explained to me that since AIDS is the most dangerous and deadly, it means that it is more important than other viruses. And if more important, then as if God is among them. And since God, then he will not let into his kingdom – into the body of the person who captured – some other disease. Curiously, this applies to the entire international classification of human diseases – except for covid! If there is no AIDS, then covid is very dangerous, and it will not take long to die from it.

The third Russian friend and constant member of the ten “strongest” in the HIV cause is India. But she is on another continent, making impressive progress in medicine, pharmacology and other sciences, including innovative technologies – is there really such obscurantism there ?!

I work in a municipal hospital for the poor and I see how my relatives rejoice when someone leaves.

There are so many people living in our country, and so many of them live in such poverty that they dream of dying every day. After all, if in this life they did not harm anyone, then their next life will definitely be easier and richer. If the gods take a person away, it means that a new life has already been prepared for him – better than the previous one. And HIV is just one of the many hands of Yama (the Hindu god of death and justice – author), with which he takes to a better life. And this is a great blessing, because if a person is not taken away for a long time and he himself tries to get to the Pit, harming himself, then he will not see a better life. To harm oneself is a sin. And HIV does not depend on us, it came from above.

“I don’t know if a non-Hindus will understand me. Simply put, we know that HIV came to earth from deities, and covid from man. And everything that is from a person is unpredictable and dangerous.
