Reserve Major Alexei Ivanov was sentenced in the Omsk Garrison Military Court to three years in prison for embezzlement, informs telegram channel of the Second Eastern District Military Court.
Thus, the major will serve his sentence in a general regime colony. It should be noted that the district military court partially satisfied the civil suit of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation against Alexei Ivanov.
The investigation found that Ivanov, in cooperation with accomplices, stole aviation protective helmets and oxygen masks totaling more than 22 million rubles.
Recall that at the end of December, the Omsk garrison military court sentenced a captain to a fine of 100 thousand rubles for beating a soldier. According to the court, the victim did not answer the defendant’s questions about the military helmet, which is why the captain hit the soldier several times in the stomach and face.
