Omsk Avangard won against Sibir without Tkachev: Boucher’s goal brought the victory

On Tuesday, December 26, Avangard played away against Siberia and won in overtime. The score of the meeting is 2:3. The goals for the Omsk team were scored by Ryan Spooner, Nikita Kholodilin and Reed Boucher (decisive).

On December 26, Avangard, in the KHL championship match in Novosibirsk, managed to defeat Sibir in overtime 3:2 without the leader of its first line, Vladimir Tkachev. Having survived, the guests tried to get even and managed to do this thanks to Spooner’s goal from a pass from Boucher. “Siberia” asked the judges to watch a video replay of the episode, doubting that everything was according to the rules. But this did not give her anything; the goal was counted.

In the second period, the Novosibirsk team first implemented a rather absurd removal of Chmykhov – 2:1 with a throw from Andreof. But the “hawks” responded just 11 seconds later with Nikita Kholodilin’s goal into the top nine.

In the third period the score did not change. The teams went into overtime. There, Omsk again used the trick of removing the goalkeeper and the actual majority – having such performers, Avangard does this regularly. And the scheme was a success. Boucher made an excellent shot, throwing hard in the 62nd minute of the match – and it was 3:2! Guest victory.
