On March 28, Avangard turned the tide of its quarterfinal series of the KHL championship playoffs with Lokomotiv on its ice with a victory in the sixth game with a score of 3:2. After that, the score in the series became 3:3 – equal.

We have already written about how the first two periods of the meeting went. As for the third, there were no goals in it. Omsk defended their minimal advantage in the score. At the same time, of course, the Yaroslavl team tried to win back. They varied their attacks, but at the same time they were more successful in interrupting their signature positional visitors. And in the style of “the best defense is an attack.” Somewhere, the hosts ended up attacking less than they needed to be efficient enough to score.

At the same time, it was clear that Lokomotiv was no longer as fresh as it was before the 4th match of the series. The situation when Avangard slightly changed the defensive scheme led to the fact that the defense seemed to become less energy-consuming. And in this situation, this is very important. For this reason, even playing with six players did not help the “Puteytsy” when they removed the goalkeeper in the last minutes.

Now there is only one match left in the series – the seventh. Thanks to the Hawks’ higher final place in the regular season, it will be held in Omsk on March 30. Everything will be decided there.
