“We have to move to plan B,” said an unnamed radio intelligence source, named in view of the possibility of canceling the ceremony. According to him, its existing format, which includes holding a river parade on the Seine, “poses too many risks to be left as it is.”

The Olympic Games in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11. It was planned to use up to 20 thousand military personnel to protect them.

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall occurred on the evening of March 22. A group of armed men started shooting in the building and then set it on fire. As a result died more than 140 people, suffered – 360, 143 more are listed missing. Soon after the terrorist attack, the Islamic State (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) took responsibility for it. Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev claims that the terrorist attack was organized by Ukraine. Ukrainian authorities deny any involvement.
