A standard for washing cabinets has been developed

Rosstandart approved GOST for cleaning in Russian schools. It was allowed to clean the classrooms only after classes, with the obligatory absence of students and open windows – weather permitting.

As MK found out, there was even a schedule for cleaning various school premises. So, once a month, you should wash the walls to their full height, clean the blinds, curtains and cornices, wash and disinfect windows, mirrors and glass cabinets, vacuum clean upholstered furniture and wet clean carpets. Dry cleaning of curtains and upholstered furniture is allowed to be performed once every six months. In school libraries, once a year, books were ordered to be dusted and the places where they were stored were to be wiped with a damp cloth.

At the same time, the school should carry out a number of cleaning activities after each change. We are talking about maintaining the cleanliness of entrance groups – cleaning the floor and door handles, removing stains from doors and windows. Also, after each change, cleaners must shake out the garbage from the bins and replace the bags with new ones, remove chewing gum from the floor, etc.

In the winter season, workers must clean snow from roofs and coatings in time: when the snow cover reaches a thickness of 5 to 10 cm in a thaw and up to 20 cm in severe frosts. Cleaning the school yard from snow with chemical reagents is not allowed.

It is allowed to clean the bathrooms only with a separate set of equipment, while it is forbidden to use sponges and other porous materials. Mops, rags and other items for cleaning toilets should be stored in a separate room. Bathrooms, sinks and toilets must be cleaned at least twice a day by employees – or as they become soiled. At the same time, disinfectants should be used regardless of the epidemiological situation. Cleaning products for toilet seats, flush buttons and door handles must be approved for use in children’s organizations.
