October 7 – Day of needlework and weddings
[ad_1]
October 7 in the folk calendar is the day of Fyokla the Spinner. On this day, women in Russia always sat down at the spinning wheel: it was believed that together with the thread they weave the success and well-being of their family.
Today, the spinning wheel can only be seen in the ethnographic museum, so spinning can be replaced by any other type of needlework associated with threads. You can embroider, knit or, for example, do macrame.
The people believed that everything tied on the day of Fyokla the Spinner would be strong and would never be untied. Therefore, weddings were often scheduled on this date – it was believed that those who get married on this day will have a long and happy life together. Well, if relationships are only tied to Thekla – both love and business – that’s also not bad, no one will be able to spoil them.
But for some reason it was not recommended to conclude deals and agree on something on this day. As well as leaving a mess in the house – the neglect of cleanliness on October 7 promised hard times in the future.
Natural signs on October 7 are as follows:
– a southeast wind is blowing – there will be no rain all week;
– bright sun in the morning – the weather will change in the afternoon;
– birds fly low – winter will come early;
– thunder rumbles – do not expect a lot of snow in winter;
– the dove sat on the windowsill – success in business awaits.
Dreams that occurred on the night of October 7 may suggest answers to questions that concern you. It doesn’t matter if the dream is good or bad, it is believed that it carries some important information that you need to decipher.
