american newspaper The New York Times reported that Russia began to actively disseminate its position through various video games.
According to the authors of the article, Russian players recreated the battle for Soledar in Minecraft, and posted a video with the reconstruction of the 1945 Victory Parade on the official YouTube channel of the World of Tanks game.
Among other things, the authors of the publication claim that pro-Russian narratives have been identified in the games Roblox, World of Warships, Fly Corp, Armored Warfare and War Thunder.
“Video games have now become useful tools for influencing young people,” said Jacob Davey of the Institute for Strategic Dialogue in London.
