American GPU manufacturer Nvidia has officially unveiled a new generation of graphics cards – the flagship model GeForce RTX 4090 and two versions of the GeForce RTX 4080 model.

A feature of the new products was the transition to the new Ada Lovelace architecture, which involves the use of the third generation of RT cores and the fourth generation of tensor cores. Video cards received support for the image scaling system in games DLSS 3.0 and the AV1 codec, which allows you to record video with 8K resolution and 60 frames per second.

The GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card received an AD102-300 graphics processor with 16,384 CUDA cores clocked at up to 2520 MHz. The novelty received 24 GB of GDDR6X memory with a peak bandwidth of 1 TB / s, and the required power consumption is declared at 450 watts.

The GeForce RTX 4080 line received two video cards with the same name, but different characteristics. The first novelty received an AD103-300 processor with 9728 CUDA cores with a frequency of up to 2505 MHz and 16 GB of memory, and the second one received an AD104-400 processor with 7680 CUDA cores with a frequency of up to 2610 MHz and 12 GB of memory. Power consumption is 320W and 285W respectively.

The new Nvidia graphics cards will go on sale in November. The GeForce RTX 4090 will cost $1.6k, while the GeForce RTX 4080 will cost $1.2k and $900 for the 16GB and 12GB versions, respectively.
