In turn, nutritionist-endocrinologist Maira Rau recommended the “healthy plate principle”. It consists in mentally dividing the plate into 3-4 parts. The first will include vegetables and fruits, the second – cereals, potatoes, pasta or bread, the third – protein (meat, legumes, fish, cottage cheese). She also recommended giving up sugar and drinking more water.
In addition, nutritionists emphasized that in no case should you take laxatives or starve to lose weight. Laxatives or diuretics remove fluid from the body, but these drugs have no effect on the amount of fat mass.
