Asian cuisine can provoke health problems and an excessive burden on digestion, Tatyana Meshcheryakova, a nutritionist at the Level Kitchen nutrition service, said in a comment to RIA Novosti.
According to her, Asian cuisine is dangerous due to the abundance of spices and ingredients that are unfamiliar to the bodies of ordinary Russians, this primarily applies to Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Indian dishes.
With this in mind, changing the habitual diet, for example, for travelers, often becomes a problem, said Meshcheryakova.
“For the body, this is stress – it needs to do the work in a few days, which took centuries for the local people,” she said.
According to her, the Russians need to focus on the kitchen as the most suitable in terms of trace elements and minerals.
