Dietitian Elena Solomatina told publication “Vechernyaya Moskva” about the benefits of garlic for brain function.

First of all, the doctor noted, the fiber contained in garlic is useful for the brain. Garlic also plays an important role in protecting the walls of blood vessels from excess cholesterol. Garlic also prevents platelets from forming clots.

According to Solomatina, the anti-inflammatory effect of garlic is comparable to that of aspirin.

The nutritionist also emphasized that excess cholesterol does not stick to healthy vessel walls – this is characteristic only of an inflamed body.

Earlier, nutritionist Natalya Kruglova spoke about the dishes that you should not start your morning with in the cold season.

According to Kruglova, it is worth abandoning simple carbohydrates as a breakfast: we are talking about ready-made breakfasts, sweets and rich pastries. Such food, the nutritionist explained, can only be an addition to the main meal, as fast carbohydrates will quickly awaken the appetite, despite the calorie content.

Light breakfasts are also not suitable in winter. For example, in the cold season, one yogurt and a sandwich will not be enough.
