The gastrointestinal tract perceives food as a collection of fats, sugars and amino acids. It simply “takes” the substances necessary for human life, while producing enzymes that allow you to break down several different fats and proteins at once. True, the stomach does not know how to choose what it is better to digest as quickly as possible, and what to postpone, the nutritionist continues.
Each product, as a rule, consists of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, only nutrients are presented in different proportions. Exceptions – units. For example, “pure” carbohydrate can be called refined sugar, “pure” egg protein, “pure” fat – vegetable oil.
Of course, “heavy” combinations of products exist, but they are also absorbed only after a longer period of time. Anna Korobkina stated that it is not worth drinking salted fish with milk, but not because the body is not able to digest both products. Such a dish will increase the level of acidity or cause an exacerbation of the ulcer, the nutritionist comments, but “this has absolutely nothing to do with the indigestibility of foods, only with individual tolerance.”
