According to AIF, nutritionist Olga Kondratenko, in a conversation with journalists, voiced the main principle of healthy eating.
According to her, the most important point is the balance in the food consumed by a person, proteins, fats, carbohydrates and vitamins. The specialist emphasized that about 50% of the daily calorie content of food should be carbohydrates – the main sources of energy needed by a person.
“But these should not be confectionery products… Long-lasting carbohydrates are important and preferably with a moderate or low glycemic index,” Kondratenko noted.
The nutritionist added that at least 30% of the daily calorie intake should be fat. As for protein, men need to consume 120 grams per day, women – 90-100 grams.
