Nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg, on the air of the program “About the most important thing” on the Russia 1 TV channel, spoke about the unexpected properties of red caviar. According to the specialist, the product lowers cholesterol levels, improves mood, and also protects against problems of the cardiovascular system and prevents the development of cancer.
The nutritionist explained that caviar reduces the level of bad cholesterol due to the content of omega-3 fatty acids and choline in it, preventing the development of atherosclerosis and its complications, namely heart attack and stroke. In addition, according to Ginzburg, it contains a lot of magnesium, which is necessary to maintain a “sense of peace,” as well as a sufficient amount of this mineral protects against age-related diseases.
The specialist added that due to the high content of vitamin D, B vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids, red caviar has a general anti-inflammatory effect and reduces the risk of blood clots. In conclusion, Ginsburg noted that red caviar also reduces the risk of age-related tumors, in particular colon cancer, breast cancer in women, and prostate cancer in men.
