From today, secular activity will finally begin to give way to private: pre-holiday dressing up yourself and the Christmas tree, cutting Russian olives and opening the strategic stocks of “Roederer”, hidden with the exclamation “it’s for the New Year!” even in early spring. Last week, the participants in secular processes, on the contrary, had to give themselves completely to the world. The schedule included more than 15 events, which were accompanied by 10-point traffic jams. It was impossible to be everywhere, but few seem to have tried. Only Philip Kirkorov showed increased omnipresence. Apparently, so that those who, in principle, will not watch TV on New Year’s holidays, do not have a shortage of Mr. Kirkorov.

The first such event was Yandex’s Christmas Dinner. It was expected that this would be such a dinner on Volkhonka, where Alexei Kudrin would be shown to the world in his new status as a corporate development adviser to Yandex. On this occasion, Victoria and Oleg Shelyagovs, Snezhanna Georgieva, Olga Karput, Victoria and Anton Borisevich, Irina Zarkova, Yana Rudkovskaya, Philip Kirkorov, Margarita Pushkina observed the evening dress code. However, Mr. Kudrin hardly planned to come, because upon closer acquaintance with the idea of \u200b\u200bthe evening, it turned out that it was a dinner on the occasion of the inclusion of the Bookmate service in the Yandex.Plus subscription (the Irish company Bookmate in October 2022 was included in the Russian register of foreign agents; Yandex had previously acquired the rights to use its technology). Nevertheless, Tigran Khudaverdyan was present at the event. And on the part of book publishers – Mikhail Litvakov, Vladimir Vorobyov, Boris Makarenkov, Evgeny Kopiev and Oleg Novikov with his lady Inessa Shevchuk. The first fame came to Ms. Shevchuk thanks to her participation in the Dom-2 show, but then she successfully developed her account on the now banned social network. It can be considered a sign of the times that the former executive director and member of the board of directors of Yandex, Mr. Khudaverdyan, currently does not have any position in the company – just like Mr. Novikov, who at the beginning of the outgoing year was the main owner and president of the group ” Eksmo-AST”, and then resigned from the position and direct ownership. So none of them were given the floor at this dinner. Too bad, it would be very interesting. Instead, director Yuri Kvyatkovsky staged a literary evening that played out in parallel with a gastronomic story from chef Anatoly Kazakov. Literature, according to the director’s intention, was supposed to at least briefly restore the faith in the miracle and the victory of good to the audience.

The Hanukkah dinner at the Saviv restaurant was about the same. It was organized by the owner of the Masterpeace brand Evgenia Linovich together with the artistic director of the Shalom Theater Oleg Lipovetsky. He was just about these days celebrating a year in office. The theater artists planned their performances so that at the beginning all those present would laugh, then Dmitry Streshinsky, the son of Natalia Davydova, could show erudition in matters of Hanukkah and traditions, and closer to the finale, the hostess of the evening, Ms. Linovich, danced with Alexander Rappoport. Such are miracles.

Then the week began to spin in a snowstorm in a large number of events from art galleries, which before the New Year acted alone and together. Friendly cocktails and opening days were given by Artwin, Sistema gallery, GUM Red Line. But also at the “Winzavod” opened “Little Winter Fair” from the Association of Galleries.

The children in this fuss were remembered by the end of the week. First, in October, the premiere of the full-length film Cheburashka took place, and a day later, the premiere of Tatyana Navka’s ice show “Scheherazade’s Love Story” took place. Of course, Mr. Kirkorov also came here, and Dmitry Peskov, as expected, arrived with a huge bouquet. Who exactly few people hoped to see on a children’s show was the musician Yuri Antonov. But since the only Russian song in the repertoire of the show was his, it was not a warming heart, but author’s supervision.
