Novocheboksarsk “Sokol” suffered a fatal defeat in the NMHL match

Hockey players from Novocheboksarsk Sokol lost to Novovoronezh Proton in a home match of the National Youth Hockey League.
The regular season meeting ended with a score of 3:2 (0:0, 2:1, 0:1, 1:0) in favor of Proton.
“Sokol” was losing 0:2 during the game, but after accurate shots from Ilya Nuyakshev (38th minute) and Vyacheslav Medvedev (57) they bounced back. However, in overtime he missed the decisive goal.
This defeat put an end to Sokol’s ambitions to reach the playoffs. Three matches before the end of the championship, the team loses its chance to get into the top eight in the Eastern Conference.
