Notepad will be able to search for and correct errors in text – Kommersant

American corporation Microsoft will add Notepad has a new feature that allows the application to find and correct errors in text. The feature is currently in testing and will be available to all users during 2024.

Spell checking works similarly to Microsoft Word – misspelled words are underlined in red. By right-clicking on an incorrectly typed word, correction options are called up. Thanks to auto-correction, the application will learn to correct typos on its own. It will be possible to add words to exceptions, multilingual documents are supported. In the settings, you can select certain types of files for which the spelling function will work.

Previously, Microsoft released an update to the Copilot AI assistant, thanks to which it learned explain the meaning of what was written in the Notepad application. Also in Notepad you can now count Characters.
