Two are wanted
Killer Matlab Sultanov, who shot a well-known criminal authority right in the gym of a fitness center, did not reveal the true reasons for the murder. Until the verdict handed down on Monday by the Moscow City Court, he insisted that he committed the crime out of personal enmity.
As MK reported at one time, thief in law Ali Heydarov, also known as Alik Ryzhiy, was killed on April 12, 2021 in the fitness center of an elite residential complex on Aviation Street. The gangster was exercising on a sports simulator when an unknown person approached him and shot at point-blank range. Departure from the scene of the crime was carefully thought out: on the bus, the killer persuaded a random passenger to change clothes. However, despite these tricks, the killer – Matlab Sultanov – was caught two days later.
The killer himself was extremely reluctant to make contact with the investigator and communicated only through an interpreter. Sultanov, he claimed that Geydarov called him from prison and insulted him on the phone. Apparently, these insults sunk into the soul of Matlab so much that with the help of familiar Azerbaijanis, he tracked down Alik Ryzhy and shot him in front of witnesses. The preparation took several months: the criminal rented an apartment next door to the thief in law and bought a subscription to the same hall where Heydarov studied. In this regard, the investigators doubted that it was a murder out of hostility. Another version looked more likely – Heydarov persistently tried to take control of the Azerbaijani sector of the Food City wholesale market. They were dissatisfied with his methods, which eventually became the motive for eliminating authority. And for the role of the performer they chose the one who, for personal reasons, “sharpened his tooth” on the bandit.
The final report of the Investigative Committee also speaks in favor of this – two accomplices in the crime were identified, they were put on the federal wanted list. And the killer himself received 16 years in prison.
