The Trans-Baikal Territory became the first region to guarantee employment for combat veterans returning from the Northern Military District zone. The corresponding resolution was signed by… O. Governor Alexander Kostenko, Vedomosti reports.
According to this decree, employers in the Trans-Baikal Territory are required to hire military personnel as a priority. This initiative applies not only to government agencies in the region, but also to non-profit organizations and individual entrepreneurs. The document covers all participants in the special operation, including volunteers and veterans of military operations in Donbass since 2014. Local governments actively inform every veteran about retraining opportunities and available job vacancies.
It is important to note that the Ministry of Economic Development of the Trans-Baikal Territory informed entrepreneurs that they have the right to benefits when employing military participants in the special operation. As Vice-Speaker of the regional legislative assembly Victoria Bessonova reported in her Telegram channel, entrepreneurs and legal entities will receive a subsidy in the amount of 76,129 rubles for each hired military man.
Experts interviewed by Vedomosti noted that no laws have yet been adopted at the federal level that would give priority to veterans of military operations of recent years when applying for jobs. This decision was made exclusively at the level of the Trans-Baikal Territory and does not have the force of federal law.
