Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the words of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov about the need to introduce martial law in Russia. The Kremlin spokesman said that this is the prerogative of the highest federal power, no decisions were made.
“This is entirely the prerogative of the highest federal authority, no decisions have been made on this matter, and no discussions are being held on this matter,” he said.
Yesterday, May 30, Ramzan Kadyrov declaredthat martial law should be declared in Russia in order to “sweep away” the “terrorist cell” created by Ukraine, which, in his opinion, is responsible for attack UAV to Moscow. Previously, he already declared about the need to introduce martial law in some regions with a maximum level of response. This was after the saboteurs entered the villages in the Bryansk region.
On the morning of May 30, Moscow and the Moscow region were attacked by drones. According to the Ministry of Defense, eight UAVs were involved in the attack, all of them were hit. Russia blamed Ukraine for the incident. Kyiv has not officially acknowledged its involvement. Russian President Vladimir Putin thinksthat the attack was Kyiv’s response to Moscow’s attack on Ukrainian intelligence headquarters.
