Nikolai Tsiskaridze was caught not knowing the Russian language

The famous Nizhny Novgorod Russian language teacher Tatyana Gartman, better known as the “teacher” who makes comments on the Russian language to domestic celebrities, again went through the speech of our celebrities. This time it went to ex-soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Nikolai Tsiskaridze.
The teacher pointed out Tsiskaridze’s incorrect pronunciation of the word “asymmetry.” In his interview, the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation put the emphasis on the third syllable, but the correct way to pronounce this word is with the emphasis on the fourth syllable – “asymmetry”.
“In all dictionaries there is only one option – asymmetry,” explained Tatyana Hartman. She also noted that in the same root word “symmetry” the stress can fall on either the second or third syllable.
