Demand for winter tours this year began to grow earlier than usual. The increased interest of Russians in buying tours for the winter period was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to representatives of the tourism industry. Among foreign destinations, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Thailand and the Maldives are in high demand among tourists. Trips to these countries are traditionally popular with Russians. The surprise for tour operators was a sharp increase in booking volumes.

“The volume of bookings for tours for the winter season exceeds the figure for the same period last year by almost seven times,” RIA Novosti quotes the words of a representative of the Tez Tour company.

The company also noted that Russians began to buy tours more often than usual – if usually an increase in demand for winter holidays was observed in August – September, then this year mass bookings of tours began already in July.

So, taking into account the fact that those who planned to relax in Europe in the winter will now also begin to consider other directions, it is really worth hurrying up with the purchase of a ticket.

We looked at what tours are now available on the websites of tour operators.

So, if you are going to Turkey and plan to fly on December 28, 2022, then a 6-night tour for two with accommodation in a four-star hotel in the historical district of Istanbul with breakfast can be bought at a price of 165 thousand rubles. Flight – charter, travel time – about four and a half hours.

In the resort Antalya on the same dates you can find a tour to a three-star hotel for 132 thousand rubles. True, if you want to swim, then only in the indoor pool. After all, the average daily temperature in Antalya during this period is about 11 degrees Celsius. From the food included, too, only breakfast. The flight is by charter.

For the same money you can buy a tour to the United Arab Emirates. It is proposed to stay in a deluxe suite in a four-star hotel in Sharjah. True, no food. The flight there and back is about 6 hours. During the day in January in Sharjah, the average temperature is +22 degrees, so you can swim.

The cost of the minimum tour to Egypt that we managed to find is 146 thousand rubles for two for 6 nights. The one-way flight will take about 7 hours. Accommodation – in the usual “double” three-star hotel with breakfast. The air temperature is slightly lower than in the UAE – in Hurghada during the day it is usually about +20 degrees.

You can catch up with summer in January at the resorts of Thailand. So, on Koh Samui during the day, an average of +28 degrees. You can relax and celebrate the New Year there with a budget of 200 thousand rubles for an 8-day tour. Accommodation – in a 3 * hotel, meals – breakfast.

But a 7-day tour to the Maldives will cost no less than 300 thousand rubles. At least now, for this price, they offer a direct round-trip flight, which takes 9 hours 25 minutes one way, and a vacation on Gan Island in a three-star hotel with breakfast.
