Event agencies, stand-up comedians and entertainers are crying, who know how to joke between performances of artists at a price of 100 thousand rubles to a million per evening, depending on their own promotion. New Year’s corporate parties in the usual sense this year, it seems, will not be.
Holiday agencies complain that most commercial structures have canceled New Year’s celebrations altogether, although the authorities not only did not recommend this, but do not even support it. Perhaps that is why the corporate New Year will still take place, but only in state structures. And some organizers of the holidays believe that it would be better if it didn’t exist at all, it looks so strange. It will pass in a new way – or in a forgotten old way. Perhaps it’s even good that elite leading millionaires like Sobchak, Galkin and Urgant will not see this.
– We were ordered a meeting with summing up, – the art director of the event agency grabs his head. – The office is rich, pays generously, but still we tried to refuse: we know how to arrange fun, and they have a condition – that everything be strict. I ask, maybe you will then hold the meeting yourself, why do you need us? And they: we need to be strict, but festive, restrained, but fun. And what am I to do?!
According to the Association of Event Organizers, most of the clients of event agencies in those regions where the holidays are not canceled at all have cut their budgets by almost a quarter, and they want “a festive and strict office evening in the format of the results of the year.” And since such Christmas meetings thundered around the enterprises for the last time 35 years ago, no one really remembers how it should be.
“Comedians and all sorts of genre artists like rappers are not taken at all,” the organizers of the holiday complain in a new way. – And the singers with a patriotic repertoire have already been snapped up until next year. Everyone wants only “Hands up”, Leps and Shaman.
But the organizers of the show are the organizers in order to be able to get out of the situation. Some have already come up with the idea to recreate the atmosphere of the “Blue Light” of 1982, visited the TV archive and carefully watched the recording of 40 years ago, naturally faced with the fact that the stars of those times are not available today – others are gone, they are the majority. And “those” like Pugacheva, Rotaru, Kikabidze and Gverdtsiteli are far away. But there is an unknown (so far) young people who, with today’s technologies, can repeat their vocals 40 years ago – just spit. And cheap, and cheerful – that is, strictly.
Another agency, after three days of nervous brainstorming, came up with the idea of cloning a production meeting at the end of the year from the same 80s, followed by an amateur concert dedicated to the upcoming New Year. But since the employees of the department who ordered the “strict regime” corporate party could not be forced to learn rhymes and songs, it was also decided to portray “amateur performances” with the hands and feet of novice cheap artists.
Of the findings of domestic “mass entertainers” who know how to find an approach to each customer, attention is also drawn to an interactive play on the production theme, staged by the employees of the pasta factory, during which the real annual results of the enterprise’s work will be summed up and real diplomas will be awarded. After the performance, a disco will be held in the factory’s DC, where VIA will perform, which was surprisingly quickly formed on the basis of the enterprise itself. The organizers only helped with the name, persuading the leaders of production not to insert the name of their products into it.
While waiting in the stream of event ideas for a moment to ask if a feast is needed at all during the plague, I suddenly also felt a surge of creativity – inspiration, if without anglicisms. After all, there are so many interesting things around – for example, the lecture “Is there life on Mars”, which, together with Gurchenko, made “Carnival Night” imperishable. They review this tape again and again, although she is already under 70. Because there are things that, as the people say, you can’t drink away. But I probably won’t share my insight with professionals of collective fun: I’ll save it for my own corporate party, if they tell me to prepare amateur performances.
