The virulent strain of COVID-19, which has become the dominant form of the virus around the world, has given rise to two new symptoms, writes the Daily Mirror.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has warned that the JN.1 strain of the virus is thriving in the UK, as well as the US, Iceland, Portugal and Spain. Experts also note its rapid spread in France, China and India.
The latest data from the Office for National Statistics notes that insomnia and anxiety have been added to the usual symptoms previously reported by people with COVID-19, such as a runny nose, cough, headaches and weakness.
It is also reported that fewer people are now complaining of loss of taste and smell.
