New sports grounds to be installed in the Tver region

At a meeting of the regional government, which was held on September 27 by Governor Igor Rudenya, funding for the state program “Physical Culture and Sports in the Tver Region” was increased.
More “smart” sites
During the federal project “Business Sprint (I Choose Sports)”, additional funds will be used to complete the installation of “smart” sports grounds in municipalities. One such site has already been put into operation on the territory of school No. 1 in Zubtsovo. In Bezhetsk and Udomlya, work at the sites has not yet been completed.
The governor stressed that inaction on the part of the heads of municipalities in resolving issues related to the development of sports infrastructure is unacceptable.
– The heads of these municipalities were instructed to expedite the installation of sports grounds. The objects themselves are a new generation of outdoor spaces for sports for the inhabitants of the region, – said Igor Rudenya, commenting on the issue after the meeting.
In Zubtsovo, the “smart” sports ground includes an artificial turf football field, a running track, basketball and volleyball courts. There is also a gymnastic town with a set of street workout equipment, a tribune for 100 seats and a street sports complex.
All sports equipment has QR codes, which make it possible to get acquainted with the methodology of performing exercises. In addition to school physical education lessons, it provides for training at the children’s and youth sports school of the Zubtsovsky District, as well as municipal and regional competitions.

In addition, changes have been made to the state program for this year to allocate additional funds for the installation of two more sports grounds in the municipalities of the region to pass the TRP standards. At the moment, such have already appeared in the village of Ilyinskoye, Kimrsky municipal district, the village of Budino, Belsky district, and the village of Malyshevo, Maksatikhinsky district. Also, the sites have already been installed in the village of Kaltalovo, Kalininsky district, and the village of Pobeda, Rzhevsky municipal district.
In addition, funding has been increased for the provision of monthly scholarships by the Governor of the Tver Region to athletes and disabled athletes of the sports teams of the Russian Federation. The number of recipients this year has been increased from 139 athletes to 180.

On Sunday, September 25, in Tver, in the Panorama cinema and concert hall, the championship of the Central Federal District in fitness and bodybuilding was held. For the Tver region, it has become one of the most significant events, because the last time such an event was held in our region was in 2016. The organizer of the championship was the TROO “Bodybuilding Federation” with the support of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Tver Region.
The event brought together athletes from different regions of Russia, as well as national teams from the LPR, DPR and the Republic of Belarus. Athletes from various age categories took part in the competition. Even small athletes came to the championship. They performed in the “fitness kids” and “artistic fitness” categories.
