Football arena near Volgograd will be named after the legend of “Rotor”

During the teleconference of the forum “Russia – a sports power”, Governor Andrey Bocharov announced the opening of a new sports facility in Volzhsky and spoke about plans for the further development of sports infrastructure in the Volgograd region.

In Volzhsky on the basis of the stadium. Loginov, a new football complex was opened as part of the Demography national project. This is an indoor arena with an area of ​​6.6 thousand square meters. m divided into two buildings. In addition to the football field, two rubber-coated tennis courts have been built here.

Andrey Bocharov greeted the participants of the federal forum via teleconference and presented this object. He emphasized that this work was carried out in preparation for the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad with the direct participation of Russian Presidential Aide Igor Levitin and Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin.

– Directly with your participation in the region, a large-scale investment project is being implemented to create a sports cluster, which consists of two centers, – reminded Bocharov. – One of them is being built on the basis of the Young Hawk sports aviation club and has already begun to receive children.

The second is located on the basis of the stadium. Loginova – here the core is formed for the development of mass and professional sports. The Governor thanked everyone who took part in this.

In addition, at the stadium Loginov, the Combat Sports Center has already been opened. In the future, the Green Wave sports and leisure complex will include an indoor ice rink, a new 50-meter swimming pool, indoor tennis courts, universal sports grounds, landscaped park and coastal areas.

Recall that the implementation of socio-economic development projects in the Volgograd region was discussed in detail the day before during a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Governor Andrei Bocharov. Since 2014, 180 sports facilities have already been built and reconstructed in our region. Of course, football is one of the most popular sports, so the new stadium in Volzhsky will be in demand. Taking into account amateur sections, the football community of the Volgograd region is about 30 thousand people.
