“New People” nominated Vladislav Davankov as a candidate for the election of the mayor of Moscow

The metropolitan branch of the New People party has nominated Vladislav Davankov, vice speaker of the State Duma, member of the committee on budget and taxes, as a candidate for the Moscow mayoral elections this September, party leader Alexei Nechaev said.
“Today we are nominating Vladislav Davankov for the election,” he said (quote according to TASS).
Earlier, on June 9, United Russia supported the nomination of the current head of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, in the upcoming elections. 275 delegates voted for him. His formal rival was Pyotr Tolstoy, secretary of the Moscow regional branch, State Duma vice-speaker. As expected, Moscow City Duma deputy Leonid Zyuganov (KPRF), State Duma deputy Dmitry Gusev (Fair Russia) and State Duma vice speaker Boris Chernyshov (LDPR) are also expected to take part in the elections.
The Moscow City Duma scheduled elections on June 7. They will last three days – from 8 to 10 September. Remote electronic voting will be used in the mayoral elections.
