New People nominate Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Davankov as a candidate for the election of the mayor of Moscow

As a result of the conference of the Moscow branch, the New People party nominated Vice Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov as a candidate for the mayoral elections in the capital, reports Interfax.
At the heart of Mr. Davankov’s election program is a moratorium on compacted development and a course towards the uniform development of the city. In addition, he promised to create the “Million IT Women” project, within the framework of which it is planned to train women in the basics of coding and working with artificial intelligence.
Vladislav Davankov served as vice president of Faberlic in 2013, and in 2018–2021 he worked as deputy general director of the Russia – Land of Opportunity organization. In 2021, he became a State Duma deputy.
Elections of the mayor of Moscow will be held on 10 September. United Russia nominated Sergei Sobyanin as a candidate. It is expected that A Just Russia – For Truth will nominate Dmitry Gusev, the LDPR – Boris Chernyshov, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – Leonid Zyuganov.
