New buildings for newlyweds and Muscovites of the older generation

On the eve of the Day of employees of the civil registry offices of Russia (December 18), the Yuzhnoye Butovo Wedding Palace was opened in Moscow. The Shcherbinka Moscow Longevity Center was a gift to the older generation. Both institutions are located in a four-story building with an area of ​​6.84 thousand square meters on Brusilova Street, built on the site of a long-term construction.

The first guests of the Wedding Palace were the anniversaries of family life – the indigenous inhabitants of Shcherbinka Alexandra Petrovna and Mikhail Mikhailovich Kostyutkin, who are celebrating their golden wedding this year.

By the way, at the same time, 9 more Moscow longevity centers were opened in the capital in the areas of Voikovsky, Solntsevo, Koptevo, Airport, Bogorodskoye, Lyublino, Vernadsky Prospect, Rostokino and Yuzhnoye Medvedkovo.

– More than 300 thousand Muscovites live in Butovo, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said at the opening. – Nearby – large residential areas are growing in new areas of the city. Therefore, at the request of the residents, we decided to build and open the Wedding Palace here.

For newlyweds

The new Wedding Palace is designed to hold up to 10,000 marriage ceremonies a year. In addition, the anniversaries of married life will be honored here.

The interiors are made in neoclassical style – according to an individual design project. The architectural feature of the Palace is a small staircase with wrought iron railings and marble covering, connecting the first and second floors – its lower steps are made in an elegant rounding and resemble the floors of a bride’s wedding dress.

For the solemn registration of marriage, the main hall on the second floor, which can accommodate up to 50 guests, and the small hall, which can accommodate up to 30 people, will be used. There are also offices for filing applications and paperwork, rooms for the bride and groom, comfortable areas for guests to stay and photo shoots, a conference room.

A barrier-free environment was created in the building, including an additional wedding hall for people with limited mobility.

There is a parking lot for 16 cars (including 2 places for the disabled).

The new palace is available to all Muscovites – you can apply for marriage registration on the mos.ru portal.

Also this year

repairs are being carried out in the Kutuzovsky and Shipilovsky departments of the registry office – the interior design is being updated for the solemn registration of marriage. Upon completion of the work, both buildings will become Wedding Palaces.

The plans include the construction of the Wedding Palace in Mitino.

Today, marriage registration takes place in seven Wedding Palaces, at more than 30 field sites and in 136 public service centers (non-ceremonial registration) – more than 170 locations.

But the Palaces remain the main venue for wedding ceremonies – in 2022, they were chosen by 57% of couples.

At the same time, the popularity of outdoor venues is growing – in 2022 they were chosen by 25% of the newlyweds. In beautiful and unusual places – museums, estates, hotels and even stadiums – 35,796 couples have already got married.

So, for example, residents of the new territories can choose the Ostafyevo Museum-Estate or the Bogorodskoye Boutique Hotel for the solemn ceremony.

For the elderly

The Moscow longevity center “Shcherbinka” occupies premises on the first and second floors of the new building. In the same building, on the third and fourth floors, there are branches of the territorial center of social services, including a point for issuing technical means of rehabilitation. In one place, older Muscovites can receive a full range of social services, as well as assistance and advice on emerging issues.

Unlike traditional social security institutions, there are no closed rooms here. In the welcome zone, visitors are met by assistant consultants who help them navigate and get the necessary services.

The multifunctional assembly hall is designed for organizing performances, concerts, creative meetings and other events with a large number of participants.

In the sports and gym you can do yoga, qigong gymnastics, participate in training, dance and master martial arts.

In the noisy living room, large groups can play billiards, table tennis, checkers, video and computer games, and just “relax and chat.

In a quiet living room, guests play chess, read, and spend literary evenings.

The media lounge is a home theater and space for small group activities such as computer and financial literacy classes, blogging, and more.

Everyone who loves to work with their hands gathers in creative workshops – sewing, knitting, sculpting, drawing, crafting.

There is also a culinary studio.

To date, the Shcherbinka Moscow Longevity Center has 12 clubs, with over 110 regular members.
