Streaming service Netflix announced startup public beta testing of streaming video games to TVs. Currently, a limited number of users from Canada and the UK can try out the new feature.

Testers will have access to Oxenfree and Molehew’s Mining Adventure, and they will be playable on TV using the Netflix app for Android and the dedicated Netflix Game Controller app for iOS. In the coming weeks, PC and Mac users will also be able to take advantage of the new feature through the Netflix website in supported browsers, and the company promises keyboard and mouse support for them. Formerly Japanese company Sony launched streaming PS5 games in 4K resolution.

For the first time, Netflix plans to launch game streaming on TV informed Bloomberg in March 2023. Before Netflix announced about the expansion of the gaming direction and plans to add about 40 games to the platform in 2023.
